Paul went to school at (?) and after taking his leaving certificate, trained as a commercial pilot in Florida. Upon returning to Ireland, he started as a pilot with Ryanair, where he rose to the rank of Captain. Later he worked for the Government and is currently employed as a pilot with 
Emirate
s Airlines.
